The SPMC Android program optimizes and fixes bugs that have popped up with Kodi in some Android operating systems such as the nVidia Shield, FireTV and amlogic devices. SPMC is still very much Kodi right now (he forks the latest Kodi release and adds his stuff in). It just has the Android goodies the Kodi devs argued were a little too hackish for their code base. Not sure one way or another on that myself (I haven't reviewed the code), but it definitely works better on Android than the Kodi base right now. SPMC (Jarvis) has the capability to do Android TV Voice searching of a scraped media library that Kodi Krypton is missing. SPMC also has more Hardware (video) acceleration options, more software deinterlacing options and an easier to configure MySQL Kodi settings section.
